Saving my Place

Why don’t you ever listen

When I shout?

With both

Palms out

No one came

So

I saved

Myself

🖤

I have learned to stand when all I wanted was to fall. I have learned the intense pain of growth.

When I did not think I could make it alone, I dug in with claws like shovels.

I forged new roots and though I still often tumble… my heart knows the fears I have conquered.

And each day, fast or slow, I continue to move forward..

Our stories, our healing, our falling, our growing

Our individual rocks

Continuing to form our unique foundations.

❤all my love and gratitude to each one of you❤

We are Women 💋

Poetry by SG and BB

We are women

for whatever that is worth

We work your body, your minds, your hearts

…and the earth

We have produced life

from the simplest form

Pushed it painfully from our body

loved, and cherished

until it is grown

We are thick skinned

Role reversing without permission

Blood hounds of intuition

Sniffing out the cause and solution

Using our disparities as ammunition

Aiming at the future

With a gut pounding determination

We are the fire

Burning your preconceived notions

We are women

Compassionate creatures
least of course

you demand we show

…our worst features

Loving wholeheartedly

with all that we have

loyal to those

who also, have our backs

Saving the world

one broken heart at a time

Balancing a budget

on the slenderness of a dime

*Thank you BB– you are one amazing woman and yes you are right- us girls need to stick together*

Write about IT

Write about the gut wrenching pain

That seeps from stomach to heart
Stain the page

With the noises causing my brain hurt

Spinning my mind like a ferris wheel

And I choose not to look down

Without a view to admire

Just that terrible circus music

And a scary clown waving his hands

I stay on…

Falling asleep to wake back up

And running a marathon in between

The life that got me here and the one

I am striving toward

Write about the sharpest broken heart

I have ever felt

A heart shared beautifully into another’s reach

A heart now expanding through trauma and grief

Write about how to get through each second

Do whatever you have to do but promise to make it

It will get better

Because our miraculous beings have an amazing capibility to consistently grow stronger

Become like a child, with a resilient behavior

Write about all of it

The death-the shock-the sickness

The love-the beauty-the moments that stale from quickness

And how you overcame it

Write it out and do not forget

It may seem terrifying now

Or glorious now

When it changes, and it will

Look back on how you made it

To get to paradise

From the guts of laughter

To stain the paper

That is how we will do it

~for our future generations, we must share how we made it from yesterday, to a better place. -Souldiergirl

Ding Dong Darling

IMG_0027

I’ve been gone a long time
From your eyes
Your hawked eyed stare
Nibble and prick away
A heart you knelt down and caged
My wretched escape
The burning flames
Of a tortured mind
Hmm..but you paid no mind
As you lit your match
And left me
Unmanned
I’ve been gone so long
Trained up and rising
Now I am back
Darling
The scare jumps onto your face
Ding dong
I’m at your gate
My chained remains
You don’t bother hiding
Come now and say hello
It will only burn
A little

Mind Cage

IMG_0128

Mind cage

Like snorting glue
I inhaled your every word
Sticky verbs
Clinging to the verge
Of the sweet nothings
Loaded with
Nothing
Your promises
Piecing together my hollow casket
Falling right through
To the abyss of your craziness
Taping gushing knuckles
Fighting my way out
Climbing mountains
From illusionary molehills
Never deserving of your prize
Until you needed me smiling at your side
Ring ring…
No
Not anymore
Spurred up with silver queens
I will feast on self made treats
My cage is now your pen
Barking in your stench and soil
Selling fools gold to the ignorant mind
Poor pretty things
Shackled in your circus strings
I’m moving higher
Freed from the mind cage
Leaving behind a life of chaos
and disaster
