Blackbird

Blackbird
Your sweet soul
Is seeping through
Filling my pale skin
With broken dreams
Incapable of a remedy
Yet my soft hands run wild
With your untamed melody
To bring you a new beauty
Blowing abrasions to the wind
Settling your scars
With my pure kiss
Blackbird
You may fearfully fly
Away
Yet I will be here waiting
With loves compassion
Throughout the night
And all my days

To you, dear

DSCN1412 (3)

At the mouth of this cage

The liquid fire in my belly has consumed it all
From blistering tears
To sweating rage
These ceaseless loops
have me drained
I’m a canary
A blue bird
My song is expanding
Can you hear me
Vibrating through our air
Flying to you, dear
Break me down
Break me apart
Flush my desires
Unplug my pent up heart
I will land softy in your arms
Breaking safely down
I will sing for you
When day has fallen
And my cage has met your ground

How we met

how we met1 (2)

The blasts threw us back

A thousand feet
At least
Eyes and innocence
Lacerated
Naked under the explosions
Bodies slain in aggression
Of the dominating dictator
Aiming for our hearts
Surviving through our thick skinned parts
As I opened my mind
I felt him
Through the dust and burn
His spirit sent me words
My bloody hands
Found their way
Clinched and his to stay
Escaping on our bellies
Through a maze of consequences
We weren’t sure if we woke
In hell or heaven yet
But we crawled on the scalding cement
Half alive on our journey
Saving you
Saving me
