Our Lullabies

I remember when I got high

And placed my head into the lap of your lost lullabies
the kind that sing about the cloaked corners of life

Mama’s sad and daddy’s gone
Hush little darling, the tears will stop before long
The moon is on the slow rise
The sun is losing sleep with dark eyes
I know your Idling in the repeat of black days
But the solitude of the desolate cocoon
Is just a nap before growth pushes you through
Hush little darling, the tears will stop before long
Soon you will be in the sky with me
Unearthing lullabies
Of how the butterfly came to be

Unattended

Upon these cotton blankets
My head falls
Tired and wasted
I smell you like you never left
A hundred sentences
Composed from one breath
The flicker of a memory
A single droplet
Composed from one symphony
A sadness washes over me
Unattended now
Hushing echoes of my soliloquy

Spyder

spyder

Lurking in the shadows
Like a creep
Patiently waiting
For me to slip
Dripping venom from your teeth
Desiring to put my blood to sleep
Hairs rising up
In the cut of your abdomen
Praying for sick wishes
Praying for a falling victim
To feast upon the wrists
Where you once hid
Pitch black secrets
Now bandaged in pain
The kill fills you up again
Crawling faster little spyder
I see your cobwebs
Filling my corners
The prince of darkness
Now dethroned
To the smallness of a spyder
Bound to be
blood against my walls
