Rise with Life

My heart nervously beating

As my eyes match the new horizon

He left in a shocking way

With not even a shadow to trace

The sky opens her eyes to change

Asking me to do the same

Oh but I miss the hands to hold!

And the stories that laugh as they unfold

I feel misunderstood

By the king of understanding

…it is no fun to feel that way

But I rebuke confusion in these coming days

I will grow with the bougainvillea

Wrapping their vines tight to feel ya

Spreading my hands like Eagles

Above his memory adorned with flowers

The sky says, daughter it is time

To rise despite…

and

Fall in love

…with this unhinged life

Oh my Ballerina!

Your beauty stretches

Wrapping around His earth
The smoke billows strong

Burying  your worth

Your needs drown into silence

When whistles hum louder than words.

Natures strength emerges from,

Her hiding place under the wind…

Lifting you up!

To dance and sing once again

Oh my ballerina!

You are the light between my grief

Secrets of Leaves

IMG_2161

The last leaf of fall

Settled at my back door

Whispering secrets of the coming spring

So I folded it

Into the safety of a golden locket

….When the night arrives to me

Coated in a chill of melancholy

I pink inside a patient heart to see

The hush of a pale sunlight

The prick of a honey bee

The song sung by kissing trees

The promise of better days

Hidden whispers

Revive me

Then gently tuck away

Never let go

Mile upon mile
My love piggybacks on a twisting spiral
An essence through the atmosphere
Scattering shades from heaven
Angelic tunes tinted with euphoric blue
Watercoloring your morning horizon
I want you to know where I stand
No matter the gaps of earthly space
That climb and stretch in between
The physical us
May you hear my voice spilling upon you
The truth is I am right there
The flower in your palm
The breeze licking your skin
I have never let go
Since the moment we began

Seasons

Long has been the day

When summer soothed the breast of autumn
Will you
Bring our plants back to life again?
I’m dazed and flushed
Off everything that could have been
Like the tin man
Searching for what I never knew I had
I see you in every shard of glass
Crystals splitting colors within the dark
As leftover memories provoke my heart
