Reality Wednesday

I wish each post I presented could be positive and uplifting. But then life happens and I become the sun closing my eyes behind a curtain of clouds. All I feel is grey. I call it a funk or a slump. But that is life isn’t it? Not everyday is sidewalk skipping, sometimes we trip and fall- sometimes…I get right back up and other times, I lay there, against a scalding backbone and wait for my legs to regain strength.

Either way, I have promised myself to be honest and authentic in this place– a collision of words from a spirit that is overcoming. And overcoming is quite a journey :))

Recently I had a slump funk and I shared it with my family here. I am overcome with love, moved by your words and truth. I read my messages and think “oh my gosh these people are incredible. They truly listen and they truly care”. So I want to thank each one of you…

Thank you so much for helping me!

You are all my superheroes, armed with love and kindness, helping to rescue this souldiers sadness.

I appreciate my family here so much.

Today I say to each one of you:           You completely rock!!

So go now and rock on with your badass gorgeous unique selves!

Love ya, SG

  1. Your the awesome badass one. We all have dark days or worse dark times. This time last year was dark for me, I had to either give up or pick up and tell the world fuck you I’m going to be happy. I chose the latter.
What people need in those bad times is a hug and a jaffa cake to help them 🙂
At this distance I can do neither, but I’m sending much love.

      1. Haha… “two badasses and some Jaffa cake!” I’m sure we can sure the Jaffa Cakes. You do deserve to be happy and it’s there for you – take it. Sometimes the way we view life needs to change for us to see it, but it’s how you find it. 🙂

      1. You’re so welcome! Due time is God’s time: He’s the one who knows our hearts better than we do. I lean on Him all the time.

So glad you like my picture (it was a tender moment with a puppy dog!) 🙂

      2. Sibella- wow that is such a beautiful name. Can you tell me about it? It sounds a little like Isabella- my daughter who passed was Isabelle. I love the uniqueness of Sibella :))
Yes the Lord can see into all of our hearts and our journey impacts others journeys in ways we don’t always know- He has his timing and I need to remember that and continue to let go and let God! ❤️❤️

My mama named me after a girl from a French movie. The original spelling of the name is Cybele and here is more about it: http://www.babynamespedia.com/meaning/Cybele

Many people who are not familiar with my name call me Isabella…

Yes, I often forget to let go of me, and let God. This is an encouraging place where we often get reminded of such things. God is working through many amazing people here. Glad to meet you, what is your name?

  3. Amen hun! As always we are here. And, of course life cannot always be roses and sunshine, but we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and kick that slump right in the behind! We will be positive that this too shall pass. Then, we put a smile on our face, log in to our blog and share with our friends. We’ve all been there. Big hugs to you! xo

    There’s this word that I love, and even wrote a poem about. The word is ‘T E N A C I T Y’. I love that word. To live this life, it’s a must.

      2. They are indeed soooooooo precious. 3 sets of Twins keep you busy and nervous, ESP and mind melt and all that they do without speaking. Maybe that’s why we get along so well. Grands are definitely different than their Dads were. Smarter, even more inquisitive, but also more vocal. Dads were more introverted until puberty, then….never shut up again. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I’ve gotten so used to having a houseful++ I’m not sure what it’ll sound like when my Grands leave next year. Maybe start volunteering again. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  7. First and foremost, I value your friendship. I feel each word. It is powerful and moving. Some journeys are meant to be traveled alone. While others require a true friend. Friendship is the strongest foundation two people can ever share… I truly believe this. When life gives lemons, plant those seeds, grow more lemon trees. Share these with a friend. We can count the number of seeds in a lemon, but we can never count the number of lemons in a seed. I am glad to have you in my life. You help me with my own journey. I read the passion of your words. In it I realize, we are not clams, we are beautiful human beings, Full of love in this journey through life.

    1. Wow Wade. Thank you so much- you just dropped some serious words here and I love it! Yes the analogy of the lemon tree is stunning and I visualize it in my mind as a field of beauty that’s come from being in the dust- but look now! Look at what we have! Aw, thank you so much for this. It’s inspiring and yes, real friendship (cuz there’s plenty of fake ones) is the greatest gift. I cherish it so, especially since I have had many false hopes in the way of real friendship so when the real thing comes along- hope sprouts and love grows. Have a fabulous day my friend. Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate very much. Oh and btw yes I do love quotes- short and powerful- absolutely the best- I could pin them all over my house like wallpaper :))

    1. ok, I want to frame that statement. That is why I love it here and why I keep coming back-because it is positive and love and kindness. I can not even tell you how I have NOT had this in my life and to have it here-is just a dream. Thank you for encouraging me and lifting my spirits when they get low.

    1. Of course you will-there is no such thing as late here-warriors don’t do that, for we know each is on their own journey and each arrival time will be different. You are very kind and encouraging to me. When you are ready you can grab my hand and I will swoop you up to the front lines :))
