Trickle into Me

Spinning bottle caps

On everything you forgot
In such a hurry to leave
Now these boxes sit
like dead company

Biting my nails    The snail trailing time

You didn’t even tell me! …What I did wrong

My heart a bleeding artery

Hanging like the vacant frames nailed into our drywall

Even though the house is gone

Purple circles from no sleep           Are darker than my chestnut eyes

Eventually I stopped asking           Besides, your ghost never replies

Spinning ballerina in a box            The laborious turn to start again

Lights slowly seeping in

The process of a beautiful corpse Growing back her skin

        Elbow healing well,
        face slowly healing
Basement railing removed, to be replaced by stronger and a bit higher one in near future. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Kiddies growing like weeds and making absolutely abundant sounds of happiness and joy, and wearing me out, thankfully not Summer yet. Cloudy yesterday and cool for kayaking on the lake, I'll be glad when their arms are longer and reach into the water to help paddle.
Until then, it's all on me, but I'm blessed and won't complain.

      2. I love your beauty of creating words into pictures and patterns. You rock sir George! Love to hear you are doing well and the joy from the little ones- you paint a lovely picture my friend :))

      3. Why thank you so much for the kind words. A whole week without another Klutz incident, yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
Healing well, thankfully can eat almost everything on both sides ( slowly tired of puree and blender Surprises made from leftovers in Fridge). Actually it was good to clean out ye old Fridge, especially that which I don’t remember how long it’s been hiding some stuff) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Girlies are enjoying the little bits of sunshine between the dark and dreary rain days. Today they got up and decided, rain or not, we’re going outside to check on hummingbirds, ducks, geese and other inhabitants of Nature nearby. Only 3 and so “determined.” Actually, it’s probably my fault, they know if they “ask” just right, Onkel George can’t say NO to them. I’m definitely “wrapped” unless Sis has put down her foot, then I’m not willing to cross that Tornado, not sure my insurance policy covers “tempting fate.”
Hopefully you had a good weekend and the rest of the week will be Sunshinney and Wunnerfull.

  1. “Trickle into Me”, wonderful writing, demanding the reader to feel. Love this! Wonderful! For me, there are so many strong and visual verses that really captivate with a sense of deliberate determination, which makes this poem so very powerful. Here are some favorites verses,

    “My heart a bleeding artery”
“Hanging like the vacant frames nailed into our drywall”

    “Lights slowly seeping in”
“The process of a beautiful corpse Growing back her skin”

Lovely artwork and a great quote!

    Take good care,

  2. I love it… particularly these verses, which really resonated with me: “Eventually I stopped asking / Besides, your ghost never replies”.. All the best to you. Aquileana ⭐
