What anguish to wake up alone
Your company filled my room
Only moments ago
Or it seemed
Reality once fresh like mothers milk
Begins to curdle
As the question posted on my forehead
Was it truly real?
Stares daggers back at me from my mirror
As I dress for another day
Loneliness in the wake of your company
Sits on my shoulders
Questioning me
In the memory of being with someone
Loneliness is much more prevelant
