Im draggin this last one
Waiting for him to return from distant lands
Dirty cowboy boots
Kickin up summers dirt
Dried up mud
Where we once danced
Barefoot in the rain
Babies sleep quietly
As I sit on this porch so silently
Stars play my melody
Of moonlights symphony
My midnight company
Until he rides
Over where the sun rises
And nestles into the sky
From afar he is only a shadow
Now his bravery paces him closer
To my lips
Curved upwards unto the Son
With gratitude and love
Handprints molded into
The flesh of my hips
He has come home
As heaven reaches down for a kiss
